A few notes about the Christmas working fires. First of all some information about the amount of personnel, apparatus, and equipment. Engine 54 was the attack engine for the first time in a long time. Due to engine 55 being committed to the Valley incident 54 got the job.

Santa arrived from the North Pole and visited all the good children of the members and friends of FFD. He patrolled the Northside on the new engine delivering good wishes and special presents. As always he enjoyed his time in the elevations of NEPA

Chief Joseph Stepansky has authorized the release of the 2011 Training Report. Again the department firefighters exhibited a commitment to improving and maintaining their skills by completing 1,766 hours of training.

FFD recently received funds from the Estate of Emory Smith who was raised in Jeddo and resided in Drifton Estates. He was a man who was passionate about many things in life and in his passing wanted to assist the causes for which he cared the most.
Santa arrived on the Northside today after a trip from the North Pole. FFD Engine 55 picked up Santa and Mrs. Claus after they arrived on their sleigh which was pulled by the entire reindeer force including Rudolph.

The annual election of officers was conducted for 2012 by FFD membership today. There were no contested election for any office and as usual no member holds an administrative and chief/line officer position simultaneously.

FFD expresses its sincere sympanthy to the family and friends of deceased council member Beth Ann Wenner. She was a member of the Fire, Light, and Water Committee and was a friend and supported of the department.
Two FFD firefighters recently were hired as state police officers - Matt Wysocky with PSP and Jon Dancho with the Maryland State Police. The membership of the department is proud of the accomplishments of these fine two men and wish them safety and success in their new careers.
While many of our firefighters were participating in the Foam Tech Class at White Haven, Firefighter William Youmans was completing his structural burn portion of the Interior Firefighter Module of Essentials.
The FFD is wrapping up the year with the completion of Foam Tech. Class at White Haven today. 7 Firefighters completed this course with the hosting Company White Haven. The FFD and Dennison Township firefighters in attendance under the instruction of.

The Freeland Cub Scouts along with there parents visted the FFD. The group was given a prevention program and a tour of the station. Capt Puzzetti and Asst Chief Malloy presented the program and tour along with assistance of our dedicated Junior members, Audrey, Steven, Mariah, and James.
