FFD Chief Joseph J. Stepansky is proud to announce the department has earned an ISO rating of "3" in its latest assessment. The rating is based upon a rating of the department (50%), water system (40%), and communications/dispatch (10%).

FFD provided beverage support for last evening's County for a Cure event coordinated by Past Freeland Mayor Tami Martin. The event was held to raise funds to fight cancer. The crowd was overwhelming and the event was a tremendous success.

Chief Joseph J. Stepansky presented his report for 2013. The department responded to 228 calls for service during the year. Along with the incidents department members attended training, maintained the apparatus, raised funds, and even found time for some fun.

Santa and his elves visited the Northside to visit the good little girls and boys of department members. He took time out of his busy schedule to spend some time with the department on the unusually mild day.

Our partners in emergency services on the Northside housed a new BLS unit on Saturday evening during a ceremony at the ambulance station. FFD officers and firefighters attended the ceremony along with other government officials and emergency providers in spite of the snow storm.

The FFD Annual Spaghetti Dinner sponsored by The Other Side Restaurant was again a success. Almost 200 meals were served and everyone enjoyed the meal along with the festive holiday festive atmosphere of the TOS dinning room.

FFD performed its annual election of officers today at the annual meeting held in the station. As in the past and in accord with our by laws no member can hold two offices during the same term and this includes both administrative and chief/line office positions.
